Poster for a cause/organization

This week for 2d class we were given instructions to create a 18" x 24" poster for a cause/organization that one cares about.  We were also given instructions not to use black, white, or gradients.  I found this quite difficult, and my original design ended up with some white and a gradient in it...., however no black as the dark colors are dark brown.  After going back and simplifying the design I ended up with a inspiring design, I believe.  The only part that has white is on the collar...which is symbolic of inpatient id, or how I refer to it "necklace."

I used a accented analogic color scheme, but could also be recognized as complementary with the dominance of red and green.
